Reviews
An overall top notch dining experience. Delicious, well presented, authentic Verona dishes and impressive service by friendly and highly knowledgeable staff. A huge wine selection including local wines, the Amarone recommended by our waiter was incredible. Wonderful atmosphere in a historical old building. Stats at ground level and we sat downstairs which was cosy and nicely decorated. Be aware: part of the authenticity is a menu which includes horse and donkey, which is surprising where we're from. They do have limited vegetarian options. Check the menu if you're not sure. I definitely recommend La Taverna di Via Stella.
Best restaurant I’ve ever been to and been to many many!
Waiters are extremely knowledgeable and clear in explanations. Food is outstanding, horse gnocchi worth going back for even if coming from Australia!:)
This is the reason Italian cuisine is worlds best.
We had a lovely lunch here. We did not have reservations, but they were able to see our party of four anyway. The menu selections sounded delicious and everything we ordered was wonderful. Our waiter was so nice and picked out a great local wine selection for us which we enjoyed. We would definitely return here again!
The perfect last meal in Verona! Risotto All'amarone is a must-eat in Verona and we're so glad we chose La Taverna di Via Stella to try it. We stopped in that afternoon and made a reservation for the 7:30pm seating. Service was wonderful, the ambience is charming & traditional, and the dishes were delicious! We enjoyed a local bottle of wine, the Petto D'oca, Tortellini in Brodo, Pasta e Fasoi, and of course Risotto All'amarone.
Absolutely exquisite. From the way we felt welcome and prioritized by the waiter to the amazing food. All the way a brilliant place to eat. We had specialty of the day pasta as a first course and the amarone risotto after. Both were so delicious. And I might add, the best tiramisu in the town!
Unfortunately the espresso after the dessert was boring, thin and without much taste. A mild hiccup in a fantastic place. We will be back
Simple and straightforward dishes from quality products, a wide selection of meat. I didn't have enough vegetable dishes.
We waited a long time for them to come to us.
Perfect place for lunch and dinner.. the waiter was very helpful and suggested a great wine!
Definitely coming back
Service: 3/5
Location: 4/5
Food: 3/5
Presentation: 3/5 (yes it is a duck dish, but I don’t want to have the pond on my plate).
While I really enjoyed the fettuccine with mushrooms, I barely touched the second dish.
The stuffed duck was soggy on the outside and the stuffing was tightly packed with minced meat yet dry and lacked flavour. It also did not taste very fresh, which was a red flag.
The side polenta was very salty, but otherwise nice. The tiramisu and bread was good.
